Dental Implant Horror Stories

Unfortunately, there are many things that can go wrong with dental implants. And when they do, they can be serious. When things go wrong with general dentistry, you may lose a tooth. When things go wrong with dental implants, you lose entire sections of your body.

Here are some cases of people that have come to consult with Dr. Chal that have had complex problems arising out of difficulty with earlier dental treatment. A number of these patients have been referred to Dr. Chal by Mayo Clinic of Scottsdale, where they know that if the case is a really tough one, Dr. Chal is the one they can turn to to fix it.

Rich was suffering with an existing denture that was impossible to wear. He actually appeared at his first appointment in our office with his denture in a coffee cup. These radiographs show a dental implant that has been placed too close to the nerve and with inadequate bony support. This can cause nerve inflammation, constant pain, and a loose dental implant.
