Dr. Chal's Continuing Education

Dr. Chal attends an extraordinary number of continuing education courses to keep abreast of all the latest developments in dentistry and to continue refining his skills. He takes 200 hours worth of courses each year, which, if he were to do that in one stretch, would amount to about a month and a half out of the year, every year. For comparison, most state dental boards require 15 to 20 hours of continuing education courses per year. Here is a listing of what he has done recently:

November 2007

Dr. Chal and his dental technician, Bruce Keeling, CDT, attended a four-day curriculum by the Misch International Implant Institute, School of Dentistry, Temple University, in Philadelphia.The program focused on advances in implant supported dentures and complex hybrid restorations.

August 2007

Dr. Chal attended the International Congress of Oral Implantology 25th Annual Scientific Session in San Francisco. Their five-day meeting featured a global perspective on contemporary implant dentistry.

July 2007

Dr. Chal was one of 300 clinicians and dental educators at the 32nd Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry in Colorado Springs. AAED meetings are only open to dentists by invitation, to those dentists who have a certain degree of reputation and professional standing. This four-day meeting focused on techniques to provide a "natural beauty" when creating porcelain veneers and crowns.

May 2007

Dr. Chal attended the 23rd Annual Scientific Session of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry in Atlanta. During this five-day meeting, Dr. Chal presented a lecture titled "Dental Implants: Evolving Technologies, Techniques, Materials, and Patient Expectations." March 2007

Dr. Chal and his staff attended the three-day Western Regional Dental Convention in Phoenix. Dr. Chal attended lectures and hosted a speaker.
